eh October 16, 2008 this is too gentle. didn't do any significant change. However, after I use my cleanser i love to use it to hydrate, yet prevent pimples. Then, I use a spot treatment
Fabulous Stuff! October 11, 2008 If you are looking for a cleanser that will not leave any residue on your skin, Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser is one you should definitely buy.
The packaging is a perfect size that will last for months, with a pump bottle that is so convenient that it will encourage you to use it on a regular basis. It is most definitely non-irritating, but seems to clean deeply, becuase it eliminates the left-over cosmetics that you can sometimes detect on your cotton puffs even after a "thorough" going-over with much more expensive cleanser!
Even though it thorughly cleans, it does not overly strip your skin of natural oils. Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser is a product that has been around for quite some time, and doctors often recommend it to patients in search of a cleanser that will not damage your skin.
Give it a try -- I promise this is not one of those cleansers that will end up in your closet collecting dust!
This stings! Beaware September 4, 2008 I have oily, acne prone with large pores, sensitive skin (eyes and neck) and I don't see where all the hype is coming from on this product. It didn't wash off my make up, I had to use dove soap to do so; My eye lids started BURNING! The fragrance in this product is so STRONG, I got a migraine after using it! Maybe it's just me? I don't know....but it's definitely packed with strong fragrance and it DEFINITELY does not wash off make up. Those with my skin type, try Clean and Clear Oil-Free Daily Pore Cleanser with scrubbing beads, it's powerful enough to get rid of dirt, oil, make up , and dead skin but gentle enough to not cause irritation.I used to use Dove soap or Ivory soap instead, but I needed something with scrubbing beads. Luckily, I was able to return Cetaphil Cleanser back to the retailer and discovered my favorite cleanser of all time! Goodluck
Great Product. A Regular Item in Our Grocery List September 1, 2008 Cetaphil is an amazing product. Our family has been using it for the longest time. It is not sudsy like ordinary soap which makes it very easy to rinse. You will not spend a lot of time just to remove that slippery feeling when using soaps. After you dry with a face towel, you will feel the difference on your skin. Oil is gone without you face feeling stretch dry. It is very gentle it was recommended before by my wife's derma for one of my sons when he had a skin problem.
Cetaphil Gentle Facial Cleanser - Great Cleanser and Moisturizer August 14, 2008
For those with very sensitive skin and allergies to perfumes and other common additives in facial cleansers, I would imagine that the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, 16-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 2) would be a necessity. In my case, I don't suffer from any such sensitivity. I just like to use a variety of cleansers so that I'm not always bombarding my skin with the harsher ones.
I had a great experience with the Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser, 16.0 -Ounce Bottles (Pack of 2), which is a great product for daily cleansing of your skin. While the daily cleanser has more of a *cleansing* action, the gentle cleanser is more of a *moisturizing* cleanser. It is opaque and feels more like lotion. In fact it doesn't even really *foam up* at all but still cleans your skin gently without stripping away all the natural oils.
And yes it's true there are other uses: 1) Obviously it's an ideal makeup remover for women 2) Yes you can shave with it, but I actually like to use a soap that foams up a little for that 3) You may be able to use your moisturizer less because this really does moisturize your skin great
These packages from Amazon are a great value too. These 16 ounce bottles are BIG and very convenient due to the built in pump. I have found that one of these bottles will easily last me 6 months using it 3 or 4 days a week. I like to mix and match and not use the same cleanser every day. That makes these big two packs a GREAT deal, as these cleansers are normally expensive anyway, especially if you only buy 1 bottle at a time.
Specialized versions are also available such as the Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser For Normal to Oily Skin, 8-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 3). I am pretty sure that these two will work for any type of skin though.
Some people need the gentle cleanser due to skin conditions. If you just want an all around cleanser, the daily cleanser is the way to go. So if you need a nice facial cleanser, choose between these two depending on your needs.
Enjoy!!!
